If we don't learn from the examples of every country who is trying this and expect it to be different here then I believe that is the definition for insanity.
When the masses learn they can vote themselves a Largesse from the treasury you can kiss the country goodbye. A paraphrase from one of our founding fathers.
There no free lunch, not now, not ever. We will pay pay pay and that is not fear mongering (whatever that is) its reality.
We can agree to disagree and that is what makes this country great. Its called freedom of or to speak. I hope that doesn't get watered down too

We don't know what is going to happen tomorrow, and we will have to deal with it when tomorrow comes. However, history has a nasty habit of repeating itself, in case you didn't notice. The Russian revolution was going to be such a wonderful thing. After it was over, we know what happened. I don't want to live under someone else's thumb like that. The same types of forces are at work right now, and if you aren't vigilant, somebody is going to take away your freedom and force you to do as they demand. Hmm. Maybe forcing ALL OF US to get health insurance is just a start. If I don't want it, I should have the choice not to purchase it. The whole thing is unconstitutional, as in the United States Constitution. You don't care about that? I'm not even talking about the huge costs that are involved here. It is madness. In case you didn't notice, Medicare, Medicade, Social Securi ty, etc. are all going bye bye. The promises can't be kept. There is no "lock box" on these things, and they've been raided. The national debt is so overwhelmingly big, nobody is ever going to pay it back, ever. It will be a means to make sure they can tax the &hit out of everybody for the rest of eternity. You don't care about that? Dean has made good points here. You can't make something as substantial as health care free, or people will cheat and take advantage. Oh yeah, I forgot. It's already happening.
Once you get the government involved, cheating and graft become the standard. Just consider how pianos are treated in schools and churches, and other institutions. Nobody cares for them because they're owned by "somebody else". WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE GOVERNMENT. But we don't see things that way. If we cheat the government, we cheat ours elves in the end.
It is time to open our eyes and see what is happening around us. We can't ignore what Washinton does anymore. What they do affects us all. Wishfully thinking that the government is going to take care of us cradle to grave is a huge mistake. Once this new health care system is implemented, the costs are going to skyrocket, as have every other socialized medical system in the world. It won't drive down costs, they will increase. If you can't see this, what can I say? This country was founded and fought for independence because they wanted to chart their own destiny and not be beholden to any other country. They knew what they were fighting for. We have forgotten it. They didn't want big government, and made a constitution to limit the federal government's power. Now we have a bunch of idiots who don't care at all for the constitution, and sadly there's no teeth in the law anywhere to make them adhere to it. So, big government is here. Put your head in the sand if you want to, but once it's too late to do anything about it, it's too late. Welcome to the New World, Comrades!

         Respectfully,
