Thanks for the pictures, David. I would love to see some more pictures of the layout of the top agraffes with the plate and pinblock area. How clean is the sound? Do you hear any buzzes, zings, or overtones coming off those agraffes? Will Truitt From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of David Boyce Sent: Wednesday, November 10, 2010 4:38 PM To: pianotech at ptg.org Subject: [pianotech] Broadwood bridge agraffes I tuned the Broadwood upright (Number 129708) of a new client last Saturday. I was intrigued to discover that both bridges have agraffes for all strings. In addition there are agraffes with built-in V-bar at the top of the strings. The bass bridge has a height of 2 3/4". The trichords are individual strings. The plate is of very solid design. I didn't realise that Broadwood uprights ever had bridge agraffes, unless it's been referred to on here previously and I missed it. There is a patent number stamped into each agraffe. The patent number for the top agraffes is 268062 Nice piano. I have to go back to replace a missing key covering (the customer forgot to tell me that one was mising and I didn't have any with me), so let me know if there is anything else I should measure or photograph!
