Bert,

if you delete unread emails they will most likely go to your spam folder next time. You need to open the mails before you delete them. If the sender has been opened several times then most likely he will not go to the spam folder on an unread deletion. So, you probably want to check your spam folder every time before you delete it just to be safe.

I'm on Yahoo for my list e-mails, and for the last month or two a lot of list e-mails have been going to the Spam folder.  Maybe the e-mail providers like Gmail and Yahoo have toughened up their anti-spam programs - I don't know.

I've all of a sudden started having a few emails go into my spam folder. I use gmail for all my list emails. Anyone else on gmail have this happen in ths last few days?

We had an issue that ptg.org got blocked by ATT. This happens occasionally when someone marks a whole list of messages and reports them as spam and they include a ptg.org mail. For the most part it did not block the mailing lists but the mail aliases were a problem. Some of you on ATT related service may have had them blocked. The mailing lists should try again and send you a notice that you have been dropped. 


It seems that things are working OK now.
