I looked on GoogleNow&then.. and this is the same a Knaga Hyde, invented by Dr. Hyde in the early '70's... Below or attached is a picture of one of these.. They shed the Hyde every 2 months then you soak it in brine then preserve it in white gas. Great for covering old pianos... U gotta watch these animals.. there very tricky!
