[pianotech] re. Small vise grips for mass loading

I'm with Joe on this one.  I stopped buying tools at Lowes's and Home Repot
because some many of them were garbage, even with brand names on them.  And
most of them cost a lot more than $.2.00.

Jim,

I can see these CHEAP knock-offs being used for the mass loading thingee or
perhaps holding the clutch linkage of your 1958 International Truck, but to
use those pieces of junk for anything else would be a real travesty. IMHO,
they are overpriced @$2 each. Just my take on that. BTW Visegrip is a
copyrighted name and should not be used in a generic sense. Those thingees
are Locking Pliers or some such<G> Just fulfilling my Captain's duties.<G>
