Hello list, Just wondering what is the best way to measure and evenly adjust the tension of damper springs. I have fitted new springs, but it is an old piano and the flanges do not have the little hole for the springs to slot into. The springs are therefore at a higher tension due to the fitting angle. I will need to bend the springs backward to reduce the tension to keep a light touch -but want to keep it even. The dampers are not yet back in the action. Thanks in advance Lee -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://ptg.org/pipermail/pianotech.php/attachments/20100903/bbf9d1c9/attachment.htm>
