Hi Roger! I'm sorry, but I don't have any Grotrians here to work with or check. I was trying to send you a personal note, but your old e-mail doesn't work. Please send me the current one Best of Luck. I'm restring a 1919 Grotrian grand piano that has been previously re-strung by someone who obviously didn't follow the original wire gauge marked on the bridge. The wire size numbers marked on the bridge start with 7 3/4 in the treble and end at 11 in the tenor. Does anybody know the conversion formula for these numbers? Also, would the temper of this original wire be significantly different from the current wire produced? Roger Gable -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
