No, because the flattening of the wire is exposed under the open whipping, so the copper wound back close over the whipping is held by the flattening. When you get to the point where the whipping begins, the copper is stretched and broken off so that it is squeezed between the other coils up against the steel. There is no risk of buzzing. JD
