Much like a 'needle threader', make a threader from thin wire to pull the cord loop through the hole. Notice the length of the other loops and make a retainer for the loop at the repetition lever while you tension the cord and insert the plug with glue. A toothpick across the slot will probably work unless it needs to be recessed a bit. Trim excess cord.
