Or you can mill off the full rod diameter, and JB weld the rod on the flat surface, and do it all in the shop. Or mill 1/8" bit full depth of the rod, file the resulting edges somewhat, and drop the rod in, again with some JB weld. This can also be done in the shop. It just depends on how much entertainment you intend to get from the process. Ron N
