I would rush to read her articles and editorials when the Journal arrived, and take classes from her whenever possible. She was also a delightful person. It was always a joy to see her, and now a great sadness. The scooter she was driving hydroplaned out of control in a heavy storm, and she was killed instantly. Susan was a teacher to all of us, one of the founders of our profession.
