[pianotech] a Schafer wound string

I did say the string was not in the piano.  I will have to measure if the string I have coming from Samick doesn't work.  I have tried both Mapes and Schaff for Baldwin strings and they don't have the scales.

I'm replying, to me, seems the obvious. Have you contacted Schaff or another supplier with the Make, Model and Serial 
number. Unless it is a very unusual piano, they should have to scale and/or, if you still have the string, send it in 
and they will dup it.
