Ibach made some lovely overdampers that were double overstrung - the bass mono-chords crossed over the bi-chords. And these overdamper actions actually have a reasonable capability for damping. The shame is very few techs are able to restore a _good_ overdamper such as Ibach or Blüthner to its full potential.
