Wim What is your point here, really? It seems like you are just baiting Duaine with your questions, then whatever he answers you can jump in and tell him he's not much of tuner. Please stop making this personal. "...but everyone who uses an ETD checks their tuning aurally" If that is true, then I guess you have just called Duaine an aural tuner. 'Nough said. That's what were supposed to do. The difference is, unlike you, everyone else knows what they are doing when they aurally check their tuning. They know how to listen for beats, and do all the various checks, like thirds, double octaves, etc. Wim -----Original Message----- From: Duaine Hechler <dahechler at att.net> To: pianotech <pianotech at ptg.org> Sent: Fri, Feb 4, 2011 9:08 am Subject: Re: [pianotech] Octaves & Unions On 02/04/2011 12:46 PM, tnrwim at aol.com wrote: > > Should have mentioned that, after the first string is set to Cybertuner, > > the other unisons are always done - a u r a l l y . > > > So based on the above fact and other entries in this list, I can be > called a "hybrid" tuner. > > -- > Duaine Hechler > > > I don't undertand what you mean by a "hybrid" tuner. > > Wim I tune some things aurally and some things with the ETD which makes it hybrid - right ? -- Duaine Hechler Piano, Player Piano, Pump Organ Tuning, Servicing & Rebuilding Reed Organ Society Member Florissant, MO 63034 (314) 838-5587 dahechler at att.net www.hechlerpianoandorgan.com <http://www.hechlerpianoandorgan.com/> -- Home & Business user of Linux - 11 years -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
