Marshall: Just off the top of my head, if her mother-in-law played it I wouldn't think it would have a 7 digit serial number. Back that far Chickering was part of Aeolean. dp From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of Marshall Gisondi Sent: Thursday, July 14, 2011 5:54 PM To: pianotech at ptg.org Subject: [pianotech] serial number Hi Everyone, I evaluated a Chickering console today for a guy who wanted to take it, it was offered for free. The serial # 1314731. The atlas said it was manufactured in 1973. The woman who owned the piano said that her mother in law played it when she was young. this doesn't add up. Did I write the number down wrong or is there a glitch? thanks Marshall Marshall Gisondi Piano Technician Marshall's Piano Service pianotune05 at hotmail.com 215-510-9400 www.phillytuner.com <http://www.phillytuner.com/> Graduate of The School of Piano Technology for the Blind www.pianotuningschool.org <http://www.pianotuningschool.org/> Vancouver, WA -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
