I for one, resent being called riff-raff.
I was a paid up member for many years, attended 9 annual (national), and probably the same number of regionals. 
Not an insignificant amount  of money to the PTG.
When I turned 70, I stopped paying my dues, as I was doing less work.
My last convention was Las Vegas.
