I have to do an insurance estimate on a G2 that was soot damaged about 13 or 14 years ago. The customer had the piano "cleaned" at the time but the tech didn't see the need to replace the strings. They are now very dead. I have a price on a replacement set of strings but have only strung bass sections as part of restringing jobs or hooking the strings back on the hitchpins & tightening after bridge repairs.
