Hi John, thanks. We discussed this at the school off and on. Refurbishing isn't rebuilding, but some call refurbishing rebuilding. I've heard hammer shaping called reconditioning and filing. I need to ask this guy what exactly he paid for, but I have a feeling his 4k was well spent, not by him, but by the guy who rebuilt, refurbished, restrung or whatever to his piano. :-) thanks again. What do you think the tech. was doing with the long screw driver under the piano in order to make the buzz go a way for a short time? That one puzzles me a great deal.
