Elwood:

Just curious - was there some purpose (ethical, commercial, personal,
religious) reason to "I just wanted to slam YC!"?

Hi Wim,

You are right! I just wanted to slam YC! How'd I do?! I do hope they
don't buy Steinway, though. Enjoy wonderful Hawaii! We are going through
fall around here.cold weather soon to hit!

Joy!

Oh my. I hope Young Chang doesn't purchase them. Those pianos are the
pits...no, the bottom of the pits! You have to CA the tuning pins on NEW
Young
Changs!
Joy!

Even if YC does buy Steinway Musical Instruments, I don't think the quality
of Steinway will go down to the YC level. The opposite will happen. Look at
what happened when Kimball bought Bosendorfer. The Bosy's quality didn't go
down. Instead Kimball made the Kimbaldorfer grands, which were a slight
improvement over their previous models.

Thanks, David.

Interesting that Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc. is now based in
Waltham, MA, home town of Kurzweil Music Systems (now owned by Young
Chang). Their recent history of acquisitions is interesting.

Who knew what a power they are in band instruments?
