I prefer Nothing. However, I have several "drifts" that I have made for Ironing the bushing cloth after replacement. The drift(s) is about .010" over the size of the damper wire. I lay the end, (which is tapered and highly polished), on my shop iron, (also used for steaming out key bushings, etc.), that is set on "Wool". Once it is heated, I burnish/iron several holes and then re-heat it. On only a few occasions has this not worked. The double bushings are a pain and require a whole different approach, as the center bushing cloth is not glued in and is easily pushed out. Hope that helps, Joe Joe Garrett, R.P.T.
