Probably, over 75% or more, of the public has now idea, concept, notion of what an RPT really means or represents. Over the 12 years I've been in the business, I have gotten asked this just - once (1, uno, etc) AND, yes, some will feel abandoned until they get used to another tech. Some may, even, be dumb enough to - stop - getting their piano serviced - because they trusted you and don't know how or don't want to trust someone else.
