So you can brush it precisely where you want it, avoid areas where you don't want it, and not be breathing the over spray. Rust on tuning pins is a no win situation whatever you do, or don't do. If you can't ignore it altogether, this seems to me to be a practical next alternative. In my climate, I can fortunately ignore it as a field repair. Ron N
