I tuned this massive 1905 Schiedmeyer in a school today. It's a former player piano with the player action removed. Hence, keysticks 19 7/8" long! Keys all individually weighted, with vaying numbers of weights, and none in the same place. It was in a school building that closed and was to be thrown out, but got rescued, and although it could do with a lot of work, I am glad. It's massive and dominates the room, but it's a dilapidated aristocrat! I never met a Schiedmeyer I didn't like! The ivory key covers are pristine and beautiful.
