[pianotech] Dampp Chaser Problem

I have a customer that lives about 65 miles away that called me last 
week saying he just filled his DC system and the light was still 
blinking.   Had him recheck water-ok,   check plugs, then told him to 
take out the probe and put it in a glass of saltwater.  He did this 
and the light when out, Problem solved !!?

He just called me a few minutes ago saying the light was flashing 
again.  Plenty of water, he told me he had to put in about 3/4" of 
salt in a glass, then into the water tank before  the light went out 
the last time.
I don't know what it is  and DC is closed for the week end.

Any ideas ??
