I remember a number of years ago, someone on this list came up with a humorous formula to calculate how many strings could be expected to break in a church piano (due to pounding) based on the number of words in the name of the church. It was something along these lines: First Baptist Church: no broken strings, ever Church of the Glorious Second Coming: four strings per year Open Door Holiness Gospel Lighthouse Glory Hallelujah New Testament Believer's Fellowship: one broken string per week I regret I can't remember who came up with this idea -- would the author care to step forward?
