[pianotech] New cars

Here in California (alternate OZ) I drive a Chevrolet Corvette hatch back -
26.2 MPG average.
I do most of the service myself.
All of my tools fit, easy access with the hatchback and when I try I can fit
an action in there.
Plus it is fun to drive but I tend to stay at home when there is ice on the
road and I won't drive on dirt roads unless they are in good shape.

We probably have different requirements here in OZ to you over there in the
US, however, I drive a Subaru Outback diesel which gets about 46MPG( in your

language). This is a great car which ticks all the boxes for the job we
require it to do. Plenty of room for all piano needs etc. The only problem I

have had is with the diesel filter clogging up, and having to be de-clogged
by the service people at Subaru. No one else can service it as it is
entirely a Subaru computer function. I have done 80,000 kl in about 16
months, and it has been a pretty good choice of motor vehicle. Have not
tried it in the snow, as we don't have any here where I come from.
