[pianotech] Haynes Piano Manual

Why, Joe? Are you thinking it's going to make owners mess up their
pianos? Or put technicians out of business? I don't think either of
those things will happen. I think it's a clever bit of publishing that
enables a full-colour manual to exist which otherwise would not.

I used to buy the Haynes manuals for whatever car I had. They showed
you everything, taking out the engine, stripping the gearbox etc. Now, I
was never going to do any of those things, but even if the manual showed
you how to remove a particular bit of trim so as to access some
component, it was worth the money.

Most piano owners will not attempt most of what's in here, but it may be
tremendously interesting for some owners, and may increase their
interest in having their piano properly maintained, and their respect
for their technician.

Or is your objection based on the quality of the technical content, for
some reason?

How do you feel about Reblitz?

Best regards,

David.
