Yes, Ron you are right about the short duplex which I am not aware of. By the way, there are 3 terminating points-capo bar, hanging rod and plate before the tuning pins-all the way to key 88. Which made a very short front duplex. Someone's been experimenting. I did something sort of similar on a Baldwin SD-10 a few years ago, shortening the front duplex to about 10mm. Worked great.
