This screw, which is a fine adjustment for the damper lift via pedal rod, has been standard on all German pianos since the 1800s. As such it has been a feature in hundreds of thousands of pianos. It is still standard on all Renner actions today. There is even a special stubby screwdriver available for making the adjustment.
