Oui, vraiment, vous avez raison.

But Duaine's post had said "As the British would say - "put that in your 
pipe (pronounced peep) at smoke it" .

My contention was that the British would not pronounce "pipe" as "peep".

Albert Finney (Murder on the Orient Express) or Peter Ustinov (Death on 
the Nile) might well do so, however, while playing the part of a Belgian 
speaking English with a Belgian accent.
