Hi Wim, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I already reported the problem, the Dean's office and building administrator are aware, and the exterminator has already been in. Since I'm on staff, however, I'd just like to be proactive with respect to the pianos if that is doable and relatively easy (like some deterrent odor, etc.). Especially since I've been working my way through the inventory, and would like to keep them clean if possible. Whether private homes or public venues, it is, at least in some respects, a piano technician's problem. It seems to me we should at least be able to make informed recommendations about how to keep mice out of pianos, or to say there is no way to do so if that is the case.
