Thought people would be interested in a different set up to replace the una corda pedal. This piano has a set of dampers that are positioned between the strings and the soundboard. When the una corda pedal is pressed, the dampers rise and stop the outside strings from vibrating. In the bass, they are spaced for every other unison so that one of the two is dampened. The key frame is screwed to the keybed and does not move. The pictures are before the piano was unstrung and after.
