Actually there are quite a few of us who don't see the need for a so-called
"smart" phone. For myself, all I want is a phone that works reasonably well
as a phone!

Having said that, you don't need a "smart" phone to take pictures. There are
a variety of digital cameras available with capabilities well beyond those
of "smart" phones for less than $50. If you want to up your budget to $100
you can get several quite nice cameras and, if you're willing to take a
chance on a used or remanufactured camera they get even better.

Joe, You're overreacting to this. You don't need a digital camera attached
to your body. All you need is a smart phone that takes pictures. I think
having a picture of what you're trying to describe will go a long way
towards letting everyone else see what you're talking about. It's just one
more way that technology is helping us become better technicians. But I
guess you're not up on the latest technology, or don't think you need it
