Just a point of clarification. The class on choosing hammers class is separate from the voicing class. Once you pick which hammer, you should know how to voice it, of course. The voicing class is a theory and procedure class aimed at whatever you choose, or whatever you're dealt. It seeks to find common elements unifying various voicing methods (needles as well as lacquer) to help form and achieve a basic understanding of the goals of hammer structure.
