Front and side views of the jig. The pin that the cord goes around is a bridge pin. The felt punchings work to keep the cord in place. The cam lock is used in other similar jigs and are available from Rockler. The base is just a piece of scrap maple. Notice the spacer below the cam lock. I find that most of my jigs need that, in one way or another, so I make a bunch when I have to make some.<G> Looks kind of fancy, but shouldn't take more than a half hour to assemble. The jig is "mounted" in a vise when it's used. Hope this prompts others to do this easy job. I do recommend Hot Hide Glue, however.<G> (And, NO, it shouldn't "stink" as some have complained about! If it's good glue and it is fresh, it has a slight aroma.) Best, Joe Joe Garrett, R.P.T.
