Agreed. My take on the original post about painting a bridge with epoxy to bond/link the pins to the cap was just that. I'm suggesting that if you are repinning an old bridge or pinning a new bridge it is better to get some epoxy into the hole - not so much to bond the base of the pin to the base of the hole, but rather to get some epoxy up at the top of the hole and bond the pin to the top area of the hole.
