Jon, I find that in many cases like this (treble goes very sharp) the piano has a cracked plate. It took about four hours to get it where I could walk away. When I pulled up the treble (not too much), it went way sharp afterwards. I went over it again to lower the pitch and it went way flat. Pulled up...crept sharp but not as much. After the third or fourth pass thru the treble, the piano was good enough. I charged for the time. Never heard back from them...problem solved.
