I don't know if this is considered according to Hoyle by other techs, but
what I do with grands is rest my forearm or arm on the plate or stretcher to
support it.  Not only is this less tiring, but the support gives me more
consistent control over the movement of the pin.  I don't need to bend the
pin in the vertical axis to achieve my results, while doing this can offer
more control of the pin with other methods.

As a lefty, I should give this a try with the dominant hand, rather than my
right. Though I used to try and tune grands lefty, but found pushing against
the front of the hole increased the torque or apparent torque and was too
physically tiring. But then was then and now is now...I should give it
another shot.
