The square or similar systems won't work for me because most of my transaction are long distance. i.e. email or phone orders. I don't have the customer's card in hand to swipe it. ... Digging deeper into the Square website, I see it IS possible to enter transactions manually, but then the fee climbs to 3.5% plus a transaction fee. Too much. I use the card services for my supply business. Occasionally I get asked by a tuning client if I accept a credit card. I generally decline - I see no need to lose $3 to a company for a transaction fee when I can simply collect a check or cash and pocket 100% of my tuning charge. Anyone using a transaction service provider with some experiences to share? Anyone signed up with Federated Payments?
