I do some sales using PayPal, especially André Oorebeek's voicing book sales from my Voice of the Piano website, as well as overseas sales. PayPal skims around 3.5% off the top as well. For some readers, 3.5% off the whole transaction may not sound that much. But for some of the items I sell, that amounts to 10% of my gross profit, before even calculating in business expenses. In other words, there goes my "fun money", "play money", and/or vacation. ... all work and no play makes Jack a glum boy...
