Key Lead removal

Clamp a 1x2x6 board to your drill press table, which has been centered
under the quill, so the edge of the hole will be near the edge of the
board.  Drill a hole 1/8" larger than the size of the leads.  Place a
box under the table to catch the leads as they are expelled.  If these
are Steinway keys with a blind hole press them out with a spade pit
1/8" smaller than the leads aligned to the length of the key.  If they
are other makes press them out with a Forstner bit 1/8" smaller than
the leads.  Press them out from left to right if they are tapered.  Do
not try to punch them out, drive them out or cut them out.  Press them
out with the key flat on the support surface.
