IT recommends deferring Microsoft Windows 2000 upgrades

Microsoft Corporation will be releasing the latest version of the
Windows operating system, Windows 2000, on February 17, 2000. As
with any new operating system, and because of the heavy integration
of directory services provided by Windows 2000, IT strongly
recommends Windows 2000 servers not be deployed until intersession
periods.
