Hi Mitch,
The accelerator that I use comes with a teeny little plug in the end of the
spray tube. Always replace the plug when not in use and your troubles with
evaporation (actually leakage ) will be over.
Also to save accelerator, I use a pencil or even the end of the spray tube,
with plug in, to place a drop where it is needed. Makes the stuff go a lot
further.
