Rob, It just replaces the ones you have. Mine is a standard 16 X 24 X 1. They are expensive, usually about 12 dollars, but I have found them on sale ate Chase-Pitken and Home Depot for 8.99, so I stock up then. If you have allergies they are wonderful for keeping allergens down.
