John, The secretary in charge of keys and deposits just told me that she has averaged around $1,000.00 per year income from un-returned keys over the last 9 years that she has been doing this job. This is for the whole school. She takes in approx. $4,000.00 per year in deposits, so it looks like 1 in 4 student don't return the keys even though it costs them $20.00.
