    Margaret Hood  HOOD@UWPLATT.EDU  (Work) is my suggestion to locate a
supplier for the wrapped strings.  Harpsichord and Viennese reproductions is
her specialty.  
    Also Ed Kottick the author of HOG,( harpsichord owners guide).  He has a
web page found by searching harpsichord on Yahoo.
