This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Hello Bill, Kent and fellow CAUTs, Thanks for the kind words Bill. I have enjoyed working on the CAUT web pages. Yes, I've tried to get us linked from the main PTG page a couple of times over the last few years too. I'm sure they're just overwhelmed and over committed, and that's likely the reason why it's not happened yet. We have many volunteers in the PTG that have been asked to do a great deal, and they are often completely under appreciated and some have even been shot down for their efforts. No complaints at all from me about the web page link. If we don't like what our volunteer efforts produce we can start paying for these services. In fact, I'm a little nervous about us setting up a web server on a strictly volunteer effort. The folks who manage our servers here at MSU work really hard long hours to keep them running. I can't imagine wanting to do that after a long day of tuning, at least not for free! Our commencement is tomorrow :) Should get some time in the shop now finally. Scott: A few weeks ago I emailed Ron Berry a couple times about how to get a CAUT page link up on the PTG page. Haven't heard back from him, not even sure he got the email. And he has to be incredibly busy, like the rest of us. I can't imagine why we still don't have a presence there. I am sure you have worked on this too. What does it take to accomplish this? Your work on the CAUT page is fantastic, and the link would not only be a necessary service which we would expected of the PTG page, but the connection can't help but increase its prestige. I am copying this to some folks on the electronic communications committee, some of whom participate in this list and are even CAUTs themselves. Guys, it would be terrific if we could get the link up and running by the convention. Is this a protocol/policy issue, a technical problem, or just a matter of the PTG Page webmaster getting the time to do it?
