Hello Steve,

If the crust is from mineral deposits associated with hard water try a =
dilute solution of vinegar, 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar. Usually =
this does the job.

Yo list- Does anybody out there have an intergalactic solvent to clean =
encrusted Dampp-Chaser pads which have grown onto the humidifier heater =
bars? Yes I know, I shouldn't have let it get this bad, but I did and it =
is. I'm ready to use my trusty Lysol toilet bowl cleaner but I need =
advice from a chemist or electrician. Thanks much. Steve Kabat
