We don't...it became such an unmanageable mess...so many models, so rarely do certain strings break. I do a pass through the practice rooms approx. once a week and place an order with Mapes. They're usually here in 2-3 days after I've ordered them. I keep a set of Steinway D strings hanging on a nail for stage emergencies, but haven't needed one yet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eric Wolfley Head Piano Technician Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music University of Cincinnati ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -----Original Message----- From: stranges@Oswego.EDU [mailto:stranges@Oswego.EDU] Sent: Wednesday, April 16, 2003 9:52 AM To: caut list Subject: Bass string fest OK- Could I hear some spiffy ideas on how some of you hang replacement bass strings in your shops?? :) Much apprieciated.
