Given the fact that a balmy breeze can alter the weight on a sensitive gram scale, and breathing on a bushing can significantly change the dw/uw; I doubt that a variance of a couple of tenths of a gram wil make a significant difference. We can measure & weigh to 1/100th....and wood will do whatever it darn well pleases anyway. Ain't it fun sometimes?! :-)

Joe,
Just out of curiosity, I pulled out my set of Spurlock's gram weights.
Interesting. I thought these would be very accurately made but only
6 out of 14 weigh the same as the imprint says. I'm using a Scout
scale that came with the Stanwood kit from Pianotek.
10 = 9.9
16 = 15.8
17 = 16.7
18 = 18.0
19 = 18.9
20 = 20.0
21 = 21.1
22 = 22.0
23 = 23.0
24 = 23.9
25 = 24.9
30 = 30.1
40 = 40.0
50 = 50.0

Double Hummm,
Makes you wonder about the calibration of these units.
I was looking to find out if the level could be used for a quick evaluation of down weight plus a nickle or so.

Hi,
Is there anyone who has "the level" , who also has a gram scale, that could weigh the level and give me the weight?
BTW after a long wait the levels are back in finished form ready for work.
Thanks to those on the list who have waited so patiently for delivery. Penny has mailers ready for sending Monday
